07_16_12 - 07_21_12

This was something that I always wanted to finish.  I added some text on the hydrant... to give this prop some context.  After finishing the high poly model, I completed the game model (3097 tris. 1513 tris. for the hydrant body and 1584 for the chains).  Over the weekend I designed and painted the diffuse texture in Mudbox and CS5 (1024 x 1024).

The most challenging thing was building the material and finding render settings that I was happy with.  Here's the setting I used.  Non-specified settings = default.
