While the topology tools in ZBrush are great for organic resurfacing, they are far from ideal for hard surfaces. I could have easily exported the mesh into Maya and then sent it back, but, that would have defeated the purpose of this project; Which was to model, texture, and render a complex model only using ZBrush.

This weekend I worked on a Smith & Wesson 952 handgun. This model was built entirely in ZBrush. I blocked out the shapes using shadowbox, followed by adding some ruff detail with the hard surface brushes. The most challenging part was redoing the topology in ZBrush because it kept on crashing on me:(
