07-11-11 - 07-18-11

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been working on some assets for the main character--  Namely the flashlight and spray paint can (with lid).  The software used for each of these was: Maya, Mudbox, Photoshop, Headus, and xNormal.  Each asset was taken from Maya into Mudbox for sculpting and painting.  The flashlight textures were primarily painted in Mudbox; while the spray paint can textures were primarily made in Photoshop using layered grunge maps over a custom created logo.  Normal maps were generated using xNormal.

The total poly count for the flashlight is 2098 tris and the spray paint can is 1952 tris.  Both of these assets are fully functional.  The flashlight has 2 textures: one for the body and one for the glass and bulb.  The spray paint can has one texture.  Each texture is currently 1024 x1024.  However, the final textures will probably be 512 x 512 each, except the glass/ bulb texture, which will most likely be 256 x 256.  And now the pics.
